Brembo is an Italian company that operates in the development and production of vehicle braking systems. The company is a world leader and recognized innovator of vehicle disc brake technology. Brembo produces brake discs, pads, modules, calipers, master cylinders and complete braking systems for cars, motorcycles, commercial vehicles, racing cars and motorcycles.

The headquarters are in Stezzano.

Brembo was founded in 1961 by Emilio Bombassei, father of the current President, a few kilometers from Bergamo, like a small mechanical workshop.

In the 2005 is born KBX Motorbike Products Private Ltd., based in Pune, a joint venture between Brembo and the Indian subsidiary of Bosch, Kalyani Brakes Ltd., with the aim of producing and selling motorcycle brake systems.

In 2007, the new Research and Development Center was inaugurated within the Kilometro Rosso Science and Technology Park.

In 2008 he acquired Sabelt, manufacturer of seat belts and child restraint systems.

In 2010, Brembo launched the new brand in India Bybre: the brand intended for braking systems for small and medium engine capacity cycles and motorcycles (up to 600 cc).
