Not “smart” Italian companies

Italy is in the penultimate place in the ranking of "agile" workers: only 31% of employees make use of flexible forms of work (compared to 36% of the global average). Worse than us only Hong Kong with 22 percent.

Not “smart” Italian companies

Other than "smart working" or "agile work", as the Accademia della Crusca suggests. Whatever term to use, employment carried out with the help of technology, not necessarily in the office and without rigid schedules is still a creature unknown to most Italians. According to a survey conducted by Vodafone in ten countries (in addition to ours, India, Germany, Hong Kong, the Netherlands, Singapore, South Africa, Spain, the United Kingdom and the United States), Italy is in the penultimate place in the ranking of workers " agile”, given that only 31% of employees make use of flexible forms of work (compared to 36% of the global average). Worse than us only Hong Kong with 22 percent.

Among Italians, the personal smartphone is the device most used by those who work outside the office (58%), followed by the desktop computer (27%) and the personal laptop (23%). 14% of those interviewed are provided with a company smartphone (18% in the case of a notebook).

From the point of view of Italian companies, 70% of employers say they have adopted flexible working policies, reporting an increase in productivity (84%) and an improvement in employee morale (75%). However, lack of confidence with technological devices represents a barrier to working from home: 40% do not know how to use audio and web conferencing and 43% video conferencing.
