AXA Private Equity today announced the appointment of Juan Angoitia as Chief Executive Officer for the Infrastructure division of the Paris office. The division, which has established itself as one of the world's leaders in investing in the sector, currently has assets of $4 billion in its portfolio.
Angoitia has extensive experience in infrastructure and has spent the last 5 years at Citi Infrastructure Investors (CII), where he has managed a number of high profile investments. His appointment is part of the development strategy in the AXA Private Equity sector, which invested over 1,75 billion euros last March.
Angoitia was welcomed by the Infrastructure director of the Parisian fund, who said he was “extremely happy with his entry into a growing team. His great industrial experience in the field of infrastructure, and especially in the airport sector, will make a valuable contribution to our present and future investments".
