Axa, no worries on exposure in Italy and Spain

"We have no concerns on Italy and Spain and there is no reason to reduce exposure to these two countries." These are the words of Henri de Castries, CEO of Axa, pronounced during the press conference to present the half-yearly results.

“It should be remembered – continued de Castries – that Italy, although with a debt equal to 120% of GDP, has a primary budget surplus, unlike other European countries”.

In 2007, Axa signed a strategic agreement with Monte dei Paschi di Siena in life, non-life and pension bank insurance, giving life to Axa Mps.
