Autogrill: profits -7% but growing ebitda and confirmation of targets

The company closes the last quarter with an Ebitda growing from 227,5 to 233 million, and consolidated revenues at 1.667 million (+2,1% at current exchange rates, +5,1% at constant exchange rates). The group expects to close the year with revenues of approximately 5,8 billion.

Autogrill closed the third quarter with a net profit of 86,6 million euro, compared to 93,4 million recorded in the same period of the previous year, which however also included 9,1 million profits from the Flight businesses which were subsequently sold. Ebitda grew from 227,5 to 233 million, while consolidated revenues rose to 1.667 million (+2,1% at current exchange rates, +5,1% at constant exchange rates).

Investments in the third quarter reached 43,1 million (+13,7% on an annual basis). Net financial debt stood at 1.441,3 million as at 30 September 2011, an improvement of 134,2 million compared to 31 December 2010 (1.575,5 million).

As regards the first nine months of the year, on the other hand, net profit was 125,7 million compared with 116,8 million in the period January-September 2010. Consolidated Ebitda was 483,9 million (+4,5% on 9M 2010, +2% at current exchange rates) Consolidated revenues amounted to 4.322,8 million (+4,5% on an annual basis, +2,5% at current exchange rates) .

The group confirms the guidance it expects to close the year with revenues of around 5,8 billion and an Ebitda between 615 and 620 million. The forecasts are based on the results achieved in the first nine months and on the sales data for October. In the first 43 weeks, the group reported an increase in sales of 2,7% at current exchange rates (+4,5% at constant exchange rates) compared to the same period of 2010.

In the wake of these numbers, just before 14 pm, the Autogrill share gained more than 2,2% on the stock market.
