Autogrill, German shopping: 65 million for CroBag

Following the acquisition, the group led by Gianmario Tondato da Ruos, already present in airports, motorways and shopping centres, will also be able to enter the German station channel, the largest in Europe (turnover of more than 600 millions).

Autogrill, through its subsidiary Autogrill Deutschland, has acquired the German group Le CroBag from Groupe Soufflet for 65 million euros.

Following the operation, the group led by Gianmario Tondato da Ruos, already present in airports, motorways and shopping centres, will also be able to enter the German station channel - the largest in Europe (turnover of more than 600 millions). Le CroBag, which has 123 outlets, partly managed directly and partly licensed, in 2017 recorded total revenues of 80 million in 2017, of which 57 million thanks to the outlets it manages directly, for a total EBITDA of around 7 millions.

The acquisition is in line with Autogrill's strategy of focusing on the most profitable channels and countries in Europe. It should also be remembered that on February 6th the operation received the clearance from the antitrust authorities.

At Piazza Affari, Autogrill shares dropped 1,33% to 10,35 euro against a stock market performance of +0,15%.
