Autogrill lands in Russia, the stock rises to Piazza Affari

Newco Autogrill Russia is born: agreement signed with Novikov Group and Ginza Project – The new company will manage the food&beverage activities at Pulkovo international airport in St. Petersburg, Russia's third largest airport.

Rest signed an agreement with Novikov Group and Ginza Project for the establishment of Autogrill Russia, a newco that will manage the food&beverage activities in theSt. Petersburg Pulkovo International Airport. The deal was concluded through the HMSHost International division.

Under the terms of the agreement, the new company, 60% owned by HMSHost International and the remaining 40% by the two partners equally, will manage eight points of sale in the airport for a period of seven years. It is estimated that, in the period 2014-2021, the concession will produce revenues of approximately 130 million euros.

Pulkovo Airport in St. Petersburg, with over 11 million passengers1, of which over 50% are international, is Russia`s third largest airport. Candidate to become one of the main airports in the Baltic, with an estimated 17 million annual passengers by 2020, it is served by about 80 airlines (including national operators, such as Russya and Aeroflot, and international ones such as Emirates, Alitalia, British, Airfrance, Klm and Lufthansa).

At the beginning of the afternoon, Autogrill's share on the Stock Exchange was up by about one and a half percentage points.
