Autogrill: Giavazzi leaves the Board of Directors and advisors arrive for the demerger of Food from Retail

In place of Giavazzi, the Board of Directors has co-opted Carolyn Dittmeier. The Board has assigned the role of advisor to Merrill Lynch International, Banca IMI, Banco Santander (for the financial part) and the Bonelli Erede Pappalardo and Uría Menéndez firms (for the legal profiles).

Bocconi economist Francesco Giavazzi resigns from Autogrill's board of directors, non-executive and independent director. He would have done it "for personal reasons". In his place, the Board of Directors has appointed (by co-opting) Carolyn Dittmeier.

Furthermore, according to the press release, the BoD "confirming its interest in continuing the analysis and evaluation activities of the industrial and corporate reorganization operation, aimed at separation of the two business sectors Food & Beverage and Travel Retail & Duty Free” has identified the advisors who will assist the company. These are Merrill Lynch International, Banca IMI, Banco Santander (for the financial part) and the Bonelli Erede Pappalardo and Uría Menéndez firms (for the legal profiles).

The stock accelerated sharply on the stock market after the news and by 14.40pm it was up more than 5%. At 15.10 the Autogrill share was listed at 9,695, with an increase of 3,41.
