Autogrill enters Düsseldorf airport and aims for a turnover of 60 million in 8 years

It is estimated that the concession will produce revenues of approximately 60 million euros in the period 2014-2021. Following the release of the news, the Italian group's stock gained 0,6%. 

The company specifies that the operation is part of the expansion process in Northern Europe, started with the entry into the Helsinki airport in Finland and with the new concessions in the Eurotunnel stations and in the East Midlands airport in the United Kingdom. The four premises of the Düsseldorf business will be inaugurated in early 2014 inside Terminal B, intended for domestic and intra-European flights, and will promote Italian food and wine excellence.

Autogrill is present in Germany since 2005 and today it manages 12 points of sale in the Frankfurt hub, nine in Stuttgart and one in Hamburg. In 2009, following the agreement with Tank & Rast, the group started the development along the German autobahns, where it operates in 35 stations.

THEDusseldorf Airport, with over 20 million passengers in 2012, ranks third among German airports by traffic flow, after Frankfurt and Munich, and second by growth rate (+2,2%), after Berlin-Tegel .
