FCA Us seems to know no crisis in terms of sales, which have been steadily rising for more than six years.

In August, FCA US recorded a 3% increase in registrations to 196.756 units, from 190.887 in the same period of 2015. Going into detail, retail sales stood at 150.153 units (76% of the total) and those at fleets at 46.603 units (24%).

In terms of individual brands, Jeep posted a 12% year-on-year increase to 86.468 units, Dodge sales rose 5% to 44.340 units, while Ram Truck sales rose 2% to 44.426 units. On the other hand, the Fiat brand was down, recording a drop of 21% to 2.732 units despite the 460 units of the new 124 Spider. Chrysler was also bad, with sales down 22% to 18.753.

However, despite the minus sign of Fiat and Chrysler, FCA Us has more than one reason to rejoice, taking into account that in the same month of August, the main competitors on the market reported results with a minus sign: -8,4% trend for Ford Motors , -5,2% for General Motors, -3,8% for Honda Motors.

It should be emphasized that, due to the news from Germany regarding the letter sent by the Minister of Transport to the European Commission to denounce the alleged adoption by FCA of an illegal device for the control of polluting emissions on diesel engines, the title on Piazza Affari a few minutes after the closing, it dropped 2,6%.
