As far as the Fiat Group is concerned, the situation is worse than the EU average. Last month the collapse recorded by the Lingotto in Europe was of11,7% on an annual basis. In October, the Turin company's sales had fallen by 10,2%, while the drop was 11,8% over the January-November period.

In November the Fiat's market share in Europe stood at 6,3%, against 6,9% in the same month of 2010. In October the figure was 6,6%. In the first eleven months of the year, the group's share was instead 7%, against 7,9% recorded in the same period of 2010.

The result "is influenced by the data from the Italian market - reads a note from Fiat-Chrysler commenting on the data - which is the reference for the group". The Turin house reports that The Fiat Panda and Fiat 500 are still the best-selling cars of the year in segment A, with a combined share of 29%. Alfa Romeo also did well in the progressive year, growing by 21,5%. The sales exploits continue for Lancia/Chrysler (which in November increases sales volumes by 21,8%) and for Jeep (which in November records an increase in sales of 84,5% and for the year by 63,6% %.

In Piazza Affari, the Fiat share remained stable, with a very slight drop of 0,11% at 9.35 am.
