Acea estimates on registrations report +10,9% in March, Fiat Chrysler makes +18,2% and increases its share by 0,5%.

Car record in Europe, FCA almost doubles

With an increase of 10,9% to 1,937 million of new car registrations in Europe (EU + EFTA), March ends with a real record. On the annual comparison, explains the Acea builders' association, Easter has an impact, which last year fell in March. Sustained increases in all five main markets: Italy +18,2%, Spain +12,6%, Germany +11,4%, Great Britain +8,4% and France +7%. According to Acea estimates, in the first three months of 2017 sales of new cars in Europe grew by 8,2% to 4,256 million units.

Once again, FCA increased its sales more than the market average (EU Countries + EFTA), recording +18,2% last month compared to +10,9% of the aggregate figure, with a share that grew by 0,5 percentage points at 6,8 percent. Equally positive was the result in the first quarter of 2017 with over 303 thousand registrations, equal to a growth of 14,6%, in a market that grew by 8,2%, and a market share of 7,1%, +0,4 percentage points in comparison to 2016. Estimates on registrations have put fuel on fca which at 10,42 am grew by 3,33% to 9,315 euros.
