Auto Italia: +10,6 in sales in August but FCA beats the market (+12,6%)

With a leap in sales of new cars in August of 12,6%, Sergio Marchionne's FCA has once again done better than the Italian car market which is still growing by 10,6% - Jeep is driving sales above all (+216% in August) and Alfa Romeo (+36,7%)

The growth in Italy continues in August as well car market compared to last year. In the month just ended, sales of new cars in Italy rose by 10,65% compared to the same period last year. 59.203 units were sold in Italy in August.
Il FCA group it outperformed the market with an increase of almost 12,7% to 16.595 units and share at 28,03% (from 27,53%). This is reported by the data of the Ministry of Infrastructure and Transport.

In the first eight months of the year, the market recorded +15,03% to over 1,06 million, while FCA scored +17,13% to 302.343. Staying at home Fiat Chrysler it should be noted that driving sales were, in particular, Jeep (+216% in August to 1.231), Alfa Romeo (+36,7% to 1.262) and Lancia/Chrysler (+11,80% to 2.521), but the Fiat brand also scored
progress (+3,7% to 11.581). On the other hand, Maserati (-39,5% to 26 units) and Ferrari (-53,8% to 6) were down.
