The car continues to drive the Italian economy and Fiat Chrysler still beats the competition, confirming itself as the main engine of the recovery of the sector in our country. In October, the Italian car market grew by 9,75% on an annual basis, reaching 146.632 registrations. This was communicated by the Ministry of Infrastructure and Transport, specifying that last month 409.556 transfers of ownership of used cars were registered, down by 5,48%, to 409.556.

The global volume of sales (556.188 cars) in October therefore involved 26,36% of new cars and 73,64% of used cars. In the first 10 months of the year, the increase in registrations is equal to 16,72%, to 1.553.394 units. In the same period, 3.912.170 transfers of ownership of used cars were recorded, with a variation of +4,50% compared to the same period of 2015.

Sales of the FCA group in Italy also outperformed the market in October, with an increase in registrations of 12,4% year on year, to over 41.400 units, and a market share of 28,2%, up by 0,7 .10 percentage points from a year ago. In the 450 months, FCA registered almost 19,5 thousand units, with a growth of 28,95% and a share of 0,7% (+XNUMX percentage points).
