Auto, FCA beats the market in February

The European car market continued to grow in February and Fiat Chrysler once again achieved above-average results. According to data released by Acea, 1,11 million vehicles were registered in the EU and EFTA countries last month, with a growth of 2,1% compared to the same month last year. The declines recorded in Germany and France, partly offset by the 6,2% growth of the Italian market.

As for FCA, still in February, registrations increased by 8,7% to over 81 units. The group's market share thus rose to 7,9%, from 7,4% in the same month of 2016, recording the best result since March 2010 and thus reaching fourth place in Europe. Only FCA and Renault have achieved an increase in registrations among the main European players.

All Fiat Chrysler brands show positive changes. In particular Alfa Romeo which recorded a leap of 23,5%. Fiat also performed well with growth of 8,3%, Lancia +5,3% and Jeep +1,3%.

Geographically, FCA shows very positive results in Italy with an increase of 7,2% and above all in Germany with growth of 18,4% compared to a decrease of 2,6% in the German market. In France sales increased by 6% against a -2,9% of the market while in Spain the group grew by 12,2% against a stable market.
