The Fiat-Chrysler group outperformed the market in October (+8,56%), marking an increase of 10,81%, to 36.845 units, with a share rising to 27,72%

Auto, FCA beats the market once again

In October, new car registrations in Italy increased by 8,56% year on year, to 132.929 units. This was communicated by the Ministry of Infrastructure and Transport. 

Once again the Fiat-Chrysler group outperformed the market, recording a rise of 10,81%, to 36.845 units, with a share that rose to 27,72% from 27,16% in October 2014. 

In the first ten months of 2015, the Italian car market recorded a growth of 14,67%, to just over 1,33 million units, while FCA alone recorded a +16,85%, to 377.653 units, with a share of 28,39% (from 27,87%). 

Sales of Volkswagen-badged cars, on the other hand, fell by 6,85% last month, to 9.520 units, after the Dieselgate scandal. Over the 10 months, however, they rose by 5,77% to 100.559. 

Audi did well (+18% in October to 5.177, +8,85% in 10 months to 47.684). The German group marks a drop of 0,35% to 17.156 in the month and a rise of 10% to 8,24 over the 174.013 months.
