European auto sales increased by 10,1% in January, while those of Fiat Chrysler increased by 15,2%

Auto, FCA still beats the market

FCA beats the market once again. In January, European car sales increased by 10,1% to 1.203.958 units (a result also due to two more working days in the month). Those of Fiat Chrysler, on the other hand, grew by 15,2% compared to January 2016 (83.780 cars), with a market share rising from 6,6 to 7%.

As regards the entire market, according to data released by Acea, the best results were recorded in Spain (+10,7%), France (+10,6%), Germany (+10,5%) and Italy (+10,1%). Less significant increase in Great Britain, where the car market recorded +2,9%.

In the FCA universe, on the other hand, a positive sign for Alfa Romeo (+31,4%), Fiat (+17,3%) and Lancia (+2,5%).

In addition to the growth recorded in Italy (+12,7% in a market that grew by 10,1%), FCA achieved positive results in almost all the main European countries: in Germany (volumes up by 22,7% in a market which recorded an increase of 10,5%), in France (+19% compared to the +10,6% of the market) and in Spain (sales up by 32,2% compared to the +10,6% of the market ).
