Electric car, charging moves to the supermarket

New agreement between Enel e Federdistribuzione to promote the dissemination of electric mobility throughout the national territory. The agreement between the energy multinational and the association of food and non-food distribution companies provides for the installation of recharging points for electric cars while shopping or shopping. These are 15.600 points of sale and an offer of car parks ranging from several hundred to 3 spaces for large structures.

In this way, the companies associated with Federdistribuzione can count on a potential of over 500 available parking spaces. Enel's charging stations will thus make it possible "to create a network capable of satisfying the needs of its customers", reads a joint note.

With this agreement, Enel aims "to expand the network which has more than 14 recharging points throughout the country in the coming years", he declared Federico Caleno, responsible for electric mobility for Italy.

“Sixty million customers, as well as citizens, who enter our stores every week will be able to increasingly count on the availability of charging points, which are essential for contributing to this great transition to electric vehicles. This agreement also responds to a specific need for a shared commitment to the energy transition, in line with the National Recovery and Resilience Plan", stated Alberto Frausín, president of Federdistribuzione.
