Electric car, Enel activates 200 fast charging points

Thanks to the 200 EVA+ fast charging stations scattered throughout the territory, it is possible to face a journey by electric car from Sicily to Austria with short-term stops and without fear of running out of energy.

Electric car, Enel activates 200 fast charging points

All are active 200 fast charging stations from 50kW installed as part of the EVA+ project, equal to 400 charging points available for end customers on the main long-distance roads in Italy and Austria.

EVA+, Electric Vehicles Arteries, is the European project for the development of electric mobility born in 2016, which envisaged the installation of 200 fast charging infrastructures within three years, 180 in Italy and 20 in Austria, along the long-distance extra-urban roads of the two countries. The programme, co-funded by the European Commission within the framework of the "Connecting Europe Facility", has seen the collaboration of Enel as coordinator, with Verbund, the main Austrian utility, SMATRICS, the most important Austrian operator of recharging networks, and together with some of the most important automotive brands worldwide such as Renault, Nissan, BMW Group and Volkswagen Group Italia (with the Volkswagen and Audi brands).

The EVA+ recharging infrastructures present on the Italian territory are entirely developed and installed by Enel X, and thanks to a power of up to 50kW, they allow two vehicles to be filled up with energy at the same time in about 30 minutes. Each station is compatible with all electric car models currently on the market and complies with international standards in the field of e-mobility: CCS, CHAdeMO and Type2.

The EVA+ fast charging stations are part of a capillary network present on the Italian and Austrian territory which, from today, allows users to take an electric car journey from Sicily to Austria with short stops and without fear of running out of energy.

Thanks to the recent interoperability agreement between Enel X and SMATRICS, users of the two companies will be able to access the charging points of EVA+ and their respective national charging networks in total freedom and without territorial limits in the two countries. Furthermore, thanks to the advanced features of juice pass, the new Enel X electric mobility app, makes it even easier to recharge your vehicle at the project's fast stations.
