From 2018 July XNUMX the single registration certificate for cars and motorcycles will be born. The new document will replace the current two: the certificate of ownership of the vehicle, which is the responsibility of the ACI, and the registration document produced by the Civil Motorization.
The definitive go-ahead came this week from the Council of Ministers with the approval of one of the legislative decrees linked to the reform of the public administration.
The novelty aims to align Italy with the practices of other major European countries, thus optimizing the costs of production, archiving and control borne by the administration.
A single fee will correspond to the single document, which will replace the motorization rights and the fees for the registration or transcription of each vehicle in the Public Automobile Register (PRA) which belongs to the ACI. All savings will be used to reduce utility costs.
Vehicle registration certificates issued up to 1 July 2018 will, of course, remain valid until expiry.
