Alessandro Pansa, 55, vice president of Feltrinelli, son of the journalist and writer Giampaolo, died of a sudden illness. Alessandro Pansa, currently a professor at Luiss, in the past had been CEO of Finmeccanica, where he remained until 2014. A cultured man, a Bocconi graduate, passionate about history and philosophy, he was born in Mortara (Pavia) on June 22, 1962 , and graduated with honors in Political Economy.
A financial expert, he has also cultivated a profound knowledge of industry, also attending the prestigious Business Administration Graduate School of New York University. Pansa began his career in 1987 at Credito Italiano SpA, working in the Economics and Planning Research Department. In 1992 he then joined Euromobiliare with Guido Roberto Vitale, where he was in charge of the Investments Division, then following him to Vitale Borghesi & C. For the company, he coordinates operations on the stock market for many important Italian companies.
