Russia attack: attackers in court. Moscow accuses Kiev which responds: "We have nothing to do with it." Security summit in Italy

The very heavy death toll is 137 deathsattack on the Crocus City Hall in Moscow and while ISIS-K has released a new video in which it claims responsibility for the attack, the Russian president Vladimir Putin continues to attack Kiev and unleashes a new one wave of raids across Ukraine using, according to the US, hypersonic missiles.

Attackers in court with signs of torture

I four alleged perpetrators of the attack on the Crocus City Hall in Moscow were placed in pre-trial detention for two months by a court in the Russian capital. The four are accused of "terrorism" and face life imprisonment, the Basmanny court in Moscow said in a statement. The court's decision was announced after the investigative commission charged two alleged participants in the concert hall attack with terrorism. The accused, according to Tass, are Rachabalizoda Saidakrami Murodali and Mirzoev Dalerjon Barotovich, charged under Article 205, Part 3, paragraph “b” (terrorist attack by a group of people resulting in the death of an individual) ”, the court press service said. The two risk life imprisonment.

Furthermore, the Moscow court arrested the first person involved in the Crocus terrorist attack case, Dalerjon Mirzoev. This was reported by a Ria Novosti correspondent. “The request by the prosecutor has been fulfilled and Mirzoev is placed in detention as a preventive measure,” announced judge Elena Lenskaja. Mirzoev admitted his guilt. As for Shamsidin Fariduni, the fourth person involved in the terrorist attack, according to Ria Novosti the court decided to examine his case behind closed doors, due to the need to protect the secrecy of the investigation and the information on the participants in the trial.

From the photos circulating in the international media, the four suspects present themselves bruises and cut marks, one even was wheeled into the courtroom in a wheelchair wearing a hospital gown and pants. Pro-Russian Telegram channels on Sunday published photos of torture during interrogations by security services. In particular, one photo shows a man lying on the floor with his pants down who appears to be connected with electrical wires to "a TA-57 military communication device, which security forces use to torture with electric shocks," writes Meduza, according to where one of the cables “appears to be connected to the genitals”.

Il Kremlin declined to comment whether four suspects in last week's Moscow concert hall attack were subjected to ill-treatment after being taken into custody. “I will leave this question unanswered,” spokesman Dmitry Peskov said at a daily news conference.

Isis K releases a new video of the attack, but Russia still accuses Kiev

The Islamic State spread on Sunday new video of the attack at the concert hall in Moscow on Friday, confirming that the terrorist group was the instigator of the massacre. The United States confirms, but the Russia continues to talk about Ukraine's involvement, who denied any connection. “We have nothing to do with it. It's not our thing and we don't comment on it. I think it's Moscow's turn to comment on what happened at the Crocus theater. Ukraine has no connection with this tragedy,” explained Yaroslav Melnyk, ambassador of the Republic of Ukraine to Italy in an interview with Qn.

“At the moment there is no evidence of any kind of involvement of any kind on the Ukrainian side, it seems to me that everything is going in the direction of a terrorist attack organized by the Afghan branch of ISIS,” the Foreign Minister told radio Rtl 102.5 and deputy prime minister, Antonio Tajani.

The French president, Emmanuel Macron, instead he made it known that the Islamic State Khorasan group had tried several times to attack France. The branch of the terrorist group "involved" in the massacre in Moscow made "several attempts" in France, Macron said. That said, Russian President Vladimir «Putin could try to exploit this attack to strengthen the attack against Ukraine», underlined Tajani.

Russian raids on Ukraine. USA: “Hypersonic missiles used”

In the meantime, the problems are intensifying Russian attacks on Ukraine. “Russia is attacking Ukraine with hypersonic missiles. Strong explosions in Kiev,” writes the American ambassador to Ukraine, Bridget Brink, on X (formerly Twitter). “Ukraine needs our support now.” Numerous explosions were heard in the center of Kiev, while according to what was announced by the spokeswoman of the Defense Forces of Southern Ukraine, Nataliya Humenyuk, last night the Ukrainian air defenses shot down eight Russian kamikaze drones in the regions of Odessa and Mykolaiv. Twelve people were reportedly injured in a Russian attack on southern Ukraine, while a fire broke out in a large Russian power plant after a Ukrainian drone attack on the area.

Italy reunites the National Security Committee

The meeting is underway at the Interior Ministry National Committee for Public Order and Security, convened by the Minister of the Interior Matteo Piantedosi following last Friday's terrorist attack in Moscow. The Committee, which includes the heads of the intelligence and police forces, had already met last Thursday to define the security measures in view of the Easter holidays and the G7 events.

"Security in Italy has been strengthened after the attack launched by Hamas on October 7 against Israel”. “Since the war broke out in the Middle East we have certainly strengthened controls,” explained Minister Tajani, indicating that there are “250 most protected places in Italy” and that “our intelligence and law enforcement are always working with protection activities”. The deputy prime minister also recalled the arrest in L'Aquila of "three alleged Palestinian terrorists who were supposed to carry out attacks".

The attack launched on Friday in Moscow "was in the air", added Deputy Tajani, recalling that the warning "had been on our website since March 8th". Since there was "a clear signal of the risk being run in Moscow", the minister continued that Italians had been "advised to postpone trips to Moscow". “We follow what happens with great attention and try to protect our fellow citizens,” he concluded.
