A van crashed into a bike lane in Lower Manhattan (New York), investing some people. According to US media reports, there are 6 dead and at least 15 injured.
New York police have detained a person who is now in hospital custody with a leg wound. After running over some cyclists, the attacker continued his run until he collided with another vehicle and a school bus, then got out and threatened pedestrians with weapons (possibly toys) in front of Peter Stuyvesant High School.
The investigation into the incident is still ongoing. Police and FBI, after an initial denial, follow the terrorist trail.
The suspect is in custody. This is preliminary, more information to follow.

For safety, the bomb squad was called in to examine the vehicle. New York Mayor Bill De Blasio visited the scene of the shooting in Lower Manhattan.
