AT&T and Boeing: growing profits and revenues, but Wall Street does not reward them

AT&T and Boeing continue to grind profits, surprising analysts. Despite this, the two stocks were under pressure on Wall Street in the first part of the stock market session. The negative reactions of the markets seem to be caused by the unsatisfactory outlook attached to the financial statements.

The telecommunications giant AT&T – which in recent days has publicly denied any plans to take over Vodafone but which continues to monitor Telecom Italia – reports a positive result with a profit of 6,9 billion from a loss of 3,9 billion in the same period a year ago, while revenues rose 1,8% to 33,2 billion.

As for the aeronautical group Boeing, the fourth quarter closed with a profit of 1,23 billion dollars, up from 978 million a year earlier and revenues are up 7% to 23,8 billion.

For the 2014 financial year, the aeronautical company estimates EPS between 7 and 7,20 dollars on revenues at 87,5-90,5 billion, while analysts estimate 7,5 dollars.
