Atlantia: rumors of merger with Gemina are renewed, the stock does well

The talks on a merger of Schema28 (which controls 34,243% of Atlantia) and Investimenti Infrastrutture (holding which owns 25,720% of Gemina) would be very well underway - Equita: "The greatest advantages of the merger would be for Gemina" - The title of Atlantia gains 1,21% on the stock exchange, while Gemina loses 0,52%.

The rumors are renewed that they would like a very good start the merger of Schema28 (holding company which owns 34,243% of Atlantia) and Investimenti Infrastrutture (which owns 25,720% of Gemina) within the parent company Sintonia, owned by the Benetton family. Sintonia would thus directly hold 46,4% of Atlantia and 35,93% of Gemina.

Equita analysts approve the decision: “The operation simplifies the corporate structure and would make it easier in the future to carry out any operations with the two listed holding companies". However, the green light is expected from the Ministry of the Economy to approve the new tariff plan for Aeroporti di Roma. Again according to Equita i the greatest advantages of a possible merger would be for Gemina.

Despite this, Gemina shares fell in the early afternoon, with a drop of 0,52% to 0,7635 euros per share, while Atlantia gained 1,21% to 12,55 euros per share.
