The battle between Atlantia and Hochtief, the German subsidiary of Florentino Perez's ACS giant, should therefore reach a turning point.
However, it should be emphasized that the ok from the Council of Ministers which will meet in a few hours, does not represent the last step. To "get your hands" on Abertis, the Yes of the Ministry of Industry will also be necessary on the change of control in the Hispasat group of satellites. On the other hand, approval for the project by the CNMV, the Spanish Consob, arrived last October, a decision however contested by the Ministries of Development and Energy, which in the requested month requested the supervisory authority to revoke the authorization of the Atlantia's offer. On January 8, the CNMV reaffirmed its green light, but in the meantime the Italian company had already officially requested the ok from the two ministries.
We remember that Atlantia has offered 16,5 euros for each Abertis share with the option of also choosing a share alternative: 0,697 Atlantia shares for each Abertis share, determined on the basis of an assumed value per Atlantia share of 24,20 euro.
At Piazza Affari the title Atlantia travels up 0,5% against +0.09% of the FTSE Mib. On the Bolsa de Madrid however, the shares Abertis up 0,6% at 19,24 euro.
