The decision of the British pharmaceutical group to say no to a 120 billion dollar offer from Pfizer has not pleased all the shareholders: some are asking for the negotiations to be reopened.

AstraZeneca, shareholders want to reopen Pfizer negotiations

AstraZeneca has returned to the sender the latest offer, worth 120 billion dollars, put on the plate by the American Pfizer, but not all the shareholders of the pharmaceutical multinational are pleased with the decision. Legal & General Group, AstraZeneca's sixth largest investor with a 3,5% stake, has joined Schroders and Jupiter Fund Management in asking the board to reconsider Pfizer's proposal and reopen talks.

As reported by the Wall Street Journal, the investment division of the insurance company Legal & General has written to the board to present its position. On the other hand, Investor AB, Aberdeen Asset Management, Fidelity and Neil Woodford of St. James Place sided with the Board, which together hold a stake of approximately 7%.
