Astaldi flies to Peru with a 680 million dollar contract

The global player in the infrastructure sector has been awarded a 680 million dollar contract for the construction of the Cerro del Águila hydroelectric project in Peru. The works should be completed in 4 years from the start of the works, expected by the end of the year. Astaldi participates 50% in the project with the Peruvian group GyM.

After landing in Romania and Florida, Roman society strengthens in South America. Astaldi, which has a 50% stake with the Peruvian group GyM – Grana y Montero, has entered into a contract to build the Cerro del Águila hydroelectric project in Peru. The work was commissioned by Peruvian Kallpa, active in the energy distribution sector, and involves an investment of 680 million dollars. The intervention plans the construction of a 380 thousand cubic meter concrete dam, an underground power plant with 510MW of installed power, 9 km of tunnels and 60 km of access roads to the site.

The works should already start at the end of this year and should be completed within four years. Astaldi Group is already present in South America with 6 active hydroelectric projects in Chile, Costa Rica and Peru.
