Slight growth in results for Astaldi in the first quarter of the year. The general contractor's revenues amounted to 522 million, with an increase of 2,2%, while the net profit rose by 2,5%, to 17,7 million. New orders arrived in the quarter for 904 million, a figure that brings the total backlog to 10,4 billion. The group confirms its targets for 2012. Despite the positive result, in the early afternoon Astaldi's title leaves the field 5 and a half points.
"The results for the period are the result of a clear strategy that has allowed us to become a leader in Italy and to consolidate our presence in sectors and areas of strategic importance", commented the managing director Stefano Cerri, adding that the order backlog , the construction business and the potential of investments made in concessions "guarantee the achievement of the industrial plan objectives, which we confirm".
