Treasury auction: yields on the rise for 5 and 10-year BTPs

Yields slightly up for i 5- and 10-year BTPs auctioned by the Treasury. The total maximum amount of BTPs assigned today was 4,5 billion euros divided equally between five and ten-year terms.

The gross yield on 5-year BTPs rose by 20 basis points from an all-time low of 0,37% to today's 0,57%. As regards ten-year BTPs, the yield rises from 1,34% in the previous auction to 1,59% today. The demand for 5-year bonds was 1,36 times the amount offered while the coverage ratio for 10-year BTPs was 1,34 times.

Also placed 1,5 billion CCTeu with a gross yield of 0,42%, down 9 basis points from the previous auction. The coverage ratio was 1,51.
