Il Tesoro this morning placed Btp and CctEu for a total of 7,5 billion euros, the maximum amount offered in the auction, updating the historic lows on interest rates.
In detail, they have been placed Btp to 5 years for two billion with a yield decreasing from 0,56% to 0,55% and demand equal to 1,6 times the quantity offered.
On the severy ten years the rate dropped instead to 1,34% from the 1,36% of the previous placement. The securities assigned in this case amount to 2,5 billion and the coverage ratio has reached 1,45.
Finally, on CctEu at seven years, assigned for 3 billion euro, the yield stood at 0,71%, compared to 0,62% in the previous auction.
After communication of the result of the auction, the Ftse Eb remains up by about 1%, while lo BTP-Bund spread travels slightly up to 115 basis points.
