Another historic record for Italian government bonds. This morning the Treasury filled up at the auction of Annual bots, placing titles for six billion euros, the maximum amount offered. 

Il gross annual interest rate fell below zero for the first time on this expiry (it had already happened at6-month Bot auction on October 28th), settling at -0,030%. This means that the managers were willing to spend 100,031 to obtain Italian bonds with a redemption value of 100. 

as to question, the coverage ratio was 1,87, up on the 1,63 recorded in the previous auction of the same type.

After the publication of the auction results, the Milan Stock Exchange travels up by 0,3%, while the BTP-Bund spread it stands at 106 basis points.
