6-month Bot Auction: negative rates and new record

Interest rates on Italian government bonds are increasingly falling into negative territory. This morning the Treasury put it up for auction Bot at six months for 5,5 billion euros, the maximum amount offered, with a gross yield of -0,112%. This is the new historic record, after the -0,055% recorded last month on the same expiry.

Also good the question, which came close to 10 billion euro, bringing the coverage ratio to 1,79. However, requests are down compared to the previous auction, when the bid to cover stood at 2,02.

After communication of the result of the auction, the Milan Stock Exchange travels up by 0,76%, while the BTP-Bund spread it is at 96 basis points.
