Cooperation, circular economy and environmental sustainability: they are fundamental for the recovery of our country but also for leaving a stronger and more supportive Italy to future generations. This is what emerges from the last book “Cooperation as an alternative: sustainability, circular economy and beyond” of the National Association of Popular Banks. The presentation will be held in Rome Monday 8 November at 16pm.

The volume offers a spotlight on the role that cooperative and local banks, as the main actors of cooperation in the economy, can play in the green revolution that is as much in demand as it can no longer be postponed. The circular economy cannot ignore the territories and their need to find adequate solutions to the multiplicity of needs they express.

Achieving goals Esg pre-established by companies, using the possibilities offered by the availability of funds provided by the National Recovery and Resilience Plan (Pnrr), represents a unique opportunity to promote that economic growth in a sustainable and lasting key capable of reducing the existing differential only between different areas of the country,

Giuseppe DeLucia Lumeno, Secretary General of Assopopolari, underlined how "It is everyone's duty to accept the invitation of Prime Minister Mario Draghi to combine imagination, planning ability and concreteness to deliver to the next generations a more modern country within a stronger Europe and supportive. From this point of view, the entire activity and the overall effort of the cooperative banks and the territory will continue to be based on a precise idea of ​​sustainability, proximity and circularity of the economy which is achieved starting with concrete support for the real economy and families".

The presentation will be attended by Raffaele Barberio, Founder and Director of Key4biz; Giovanni Currò, Vice-President of the Finance Commission of the Chamber of Deputies; Giovanni Ferri, Professor of Economics and Business Management and Pro-Rector of LUMSA; Lorenzo Malagola, Secretary General of the De Gasperi Foundation; Giulio Sapelli, Economist and Columnist. Speeches by European representatives are also planned. Moderated by the journalist Vittorio Mucci.
