Assopopolari: "Brexit is a lesson for the Europe of bureaucrats"

BREXIT: Sforza Fogliani (president of Assopopolari): "In the banking sector, it opens its heart to hope" because it defeats that Europe "which has imposed absurd and costly rules on banks and citizens such as the bail-in to prevent future problems in exchange of immediate damages”

“Brexit, in our industry, opens hearts to hope. Europe has imposed absurd (and expensive) rules on us. It has imposed rules on us (such as the bail in) for future problems, in exchange for immediate damages, damage to our image - they teach us how to prevent reputational risk - that the banking system will take 30 years to cancel (if it succeeds )”.

This is supported by the president of Assopopolari, Corrado Sforza Fogliani, who adds: “The Europe of bureaucrats – reduced to a discussion table, where the strongest prevail, and it is not us – cannot ignore this resounding lesson and consider, for example, whether it is really the case to further revolutionize our banks in order to launch a new privacy system within the next year, that is, to change yet again the most futile thing imaginable for committing the income statements. Let's leave the single thought alone. Brexit is a blow to economic Bonapartism, to those who want to eliminate territorial banks and also reduce Italy to a comfortable banking oligopoly”.
