Luigi Ciarrocchi, currently director of Eni's upstream activities in Italy, is the new president of Assomineraria, an association affiliated to Confindustria that brings together companies operating in the exploration and production of hydrocarbons, the related service companies and mining activities. He was elected by the General Assembly, which met in Rome for the renewal of the association's offices and the approval of the 2017 budget.
As required by the new Statute, the Assembly also elected the vice-presidents: Marco Brun (CEO of Shell Italia) for the hydrocarbons and geothermal sector, Raffaele Calabrese De Feo (from Solvei) for the mining sector and Sergio Polito (from Saipem) for the goods and services sector.
The Sector Councils were also renewed and the composition of the General Council approved. Completed the tasks for Arbitrators and Board of Auditors.
