Il Italian labor market, and Lombard IIn particular, he finds himself having to deal with three big changes: the aging population, technological transformations and the green transition. By 2100, one in three Europeans will be over 65. Added to this demographic scenario are the geopolitical tensions, from the war in Ukraine to instability in the Mediterranean, and the effects of climate change, with the prospect of 220 million environmental migrants by 2050.

In this context, the migrant human capital becomes a decisive resource, not only to fill job gaps, but also to support innovation and growth.

Assolombarda presents its portal on "Global Human Capital"

To meet these challenges, Assolombarda has launched "Global Human Capital", digital platform which collects in a single space all the regulations on the entry and hiring of foreign workers in Italy. The portal offers businesses an up-to-date guide, from the Consolidated Law on Immigration to the most recent procedures, with practical tools for navigating authorizations and entry channels.
Alongside the portal, a downloadable technical handout has also been created which analyses global data and trends related to immigration and the job market.

Immigration as an opportunity, not just an emergency

"L 'immigration cannot be read only as an emergency or statistic, but as a strategic resource"He stressed Martha Spinelli, vice president of Assolombarda with responsibility for Welfare and Industrial Relations. According to Spinelli, migrant workers bring not only skills, but also diversity and energy. The real challenge is balancing clear rules and real inclusion, transforming migratory flows into an engine of development.

Lombardy, a laboratory of inclusion

La Lombardy confirms its privileged position to closely observe these dynamics. Here, businesses become spaces for experimenting with multicultural models, capable of combining sustainability, growth, and social cohesion. As Assolombarda has pointed out, Global human capital management is not a bureaucratic issue, but a central hub for the productive future and competitiveness of the country.
