Assolombarda: agreement with the Milan trade unions for the training of workers in the company

Assolombarda and the trade unions CGIL Milano and Ticino Olona, CISL Milano Metropoli and UIL Milano and Lombardia have signed an agreement to allow the companies in Milan to access the New Skills Fund. The agreement will allow companies that do not have trade union representatives (RSU and RSA) to access the funds earmarked for training, giving workers the opportunity to acquire new or enhanced skills.

The agreement is part of the first applications of the legislation envisaged by ANPAL. Companies will be able to apply the Collective Agreement and benefit from the Fund by providing workers with training and refresher courses after presenting them to the Territorial Joint Evaluation Commission, which, if all the requisites required by the agreement are met, will proceed with their approval by expressing a positive opinion .

The deal is also valid for companies adhering to Fondimpresa, for the purpose of submitting the training plan to the institution itself.

Assolombarda and trade unions agreement: a unicum in the panorama of industrial relations

“The context in which our companies operate makes it necessary to invest in workers' skills so that organizational and production models can be at the forefront and respond to digital and ecological transitions. L'agreement between Assolombarda and the Milan trade unions will allow Milanese companies that do not have internal trade union representation to still access the New Skills Fund to structure and support training plans for their employees. The agreement, which follows the one signed last week with the Union organizations of Monza and Brianza, represents a unicum in the landscape of industrial relations and a model to follow for all companies that put training at the center of their operations as a lever of competitiveness" he underlined Stephen Passerini, Director of the Employment, Welfare and Human Capital Sector of Assolombarda.
