Assofiduciaria votes for the new Board: Fabio Marchetti president

With yesterday's Shareholders' Meeting, Assofiduciaria renewed its Association bodies, at the same time adopting a new form of internal organization.

The shareholders' meeting was an opportunity for the Associates to discuss the future of the fiduciary business, of which the new organizational structure is an essential point for that operational efficiency, necessary for the achievement of the goals, which the Association has set itself to reach.

In fact, the regulation of the Bank of Italy for the registration of trust companies, which have the requisites, in the special register 106 TUB, intervened in the three-year period, has highlighted the need to introduce elements of discontinuity within the Association and, therefore, during the renewal of the associative offices, the associates, both registered and not in the Register 106, agreed on the opportunity to optimize the "governance" of the Association, deliberating, consequently, important changes.

In fact, widespread agreement emerged regarding the need to create that moment of discontinuity in the functioning of the Association, which is a necessary element for a harmonious and more adherent restart to the process of change within the trust sector.
For this reason, the main operators in the sector - professionals and banks - have taken it upon themselves to make themselves available to ensure a more active presence in the association, contributing more both in terms of strategic guidelines and operational contributions.

A motion was therefore voted unanimously by those present which commits the Steering Committee not only to abolish the current Study Commissions, but to create two new ones, one for the trust companies registered in the Register 106 of the TUB, mostly belonging to banking groups , and one for non-registered, referable to professional firms, with the aim of essentially creating a sort of internal Executive Committees, which can discuss internally on specific issues and collaborate mutually for the study and development of common issues .

For these reasons, a President who was not the expression of any of the Associates was first identified and, due to consolidated knowledge of the sector, authority and unanimous appreciation of the academic world, the choice fell on Prof. Fabio Marchetti, of the "Studio Visentini-Marchetti and Associates".

As regards the Deputy Chairmen, who become executive in all respects and with specific powers, Dr. Massimo Boidi of the "Studio Boidi & Partners" of Turin was appointed as representatives of the two new Commissions for the associates in the professional area and Dr. Marco Giovacchini, General Manager of "Servizio Italia SpA" of Rome representing the members registered in the special register 106 TUB.

The following have also been called to join the new Steering Committee for the three-year period 2018-2020:
