Assofiduciaria renews its Board: Fabio Marchetti confirmed as president

The Assembly of Trustee has renewed its Association bodies for the three-year period 2021-2024, or rather confirmed as in the case of professor Fabio Marchetti as president. He has also adopted uniform compliance money laundering by voting unanimously on the AML self-regulation codes, borrowed from the Bank of Italy's regulatory schemes for financial intermediaries.

The shareholders' meeting was an important opportunity for the Associates to discuss the future of the fiduciary business and the organizational structure and to "governance” which constitutes an essential point of continuity aimed at operational efficiency, necessary for the achievement of the objectives to be achieved: the adoption of self-regulation codes for anti-money laundering purposes is a significant example.

The regulation of Bank of Italy for the registration of trust companies, which have the requisites, in the special register 106 TUB has highlighted the need to adopt elements of uniform behavior on the part of the Associates.

In this regard, Assofiduciaria has identified appropriate self-regulation as the tool to allow trust companies to distinguish themselves as a unitary institution of trustees, "albeit in compliance with the significant distinctions and diversity of business vocations deriving from being registered or not with the Register 106”.

When renewing the associative offices, the Associates therefore agreed on the opportunity to optimize the "governance" in the name of managerial continuity that accompanied the changes necessary to cope with the difficulties caused by the pandemic and towards a harmonious restart.

As a sign of a perspective of continuity and a positive evaluation of the activities carried out, the working groups were confirmed: il Prof. Fabio Marchetti as president, the outgoing Executive Vice Presidents, Dr. Massimo Boidi of the "Studio Boidi & Partners" of Turin for the associates of the professional area and Dr. Marco Giovacchini, General Manager of "Servizio Italia SpA" of Rome representing the associates registered in the special register 106 TUB, while the lawyer Lucia Frascarelli, Secretary General of the Association for some time, has been appointed Deputy Vice President, implementing for the first time the statutory provision which contemplates her designation.

The following have also been called to be part of the new Steering Committee for the three-year period 2021-2024: Dr. Giorgio Baroni, Dr. Cristiano Busnardo, Dr. Filippo Cappio, Dr. Paolo Cappuggi, Dr. Giuseppe Di Blasi, Dr. Paolo Di Felice, Dr. Edoardo Ginevra, Dr. Massimo Longhi, Dr. Marco Lori, Dr. Renato Murer, Dr. Elsa Poggiali, Dr. Francesco Rubino, Dr. Pierluigi Sappa, Dr. Andrea Tavecchio, Dr. Valerio Vico.

The following have been appointed for the Board of Auditors: Dr. Fabrizio Parizzi President, Dr. Massimo Carboni, Dr. Fabrizio Mandrile. For the Board of Arbitrators, the following were confirmed: Avv. Alessandro Accinni, Prof. Giuseppe Corasaniti, Avv. Luca Zitiello.
