Assocamerestero: school-work alternation projects in 11 countries

Assocamerestero and the Italian Chamber of Commerce abroad are promoting new projects aimed at orientation and school-work alternation for 2020.

15 Italian Chambers of Commerce located in 11 European cities will join: Brussels, Copenhagen, Frankfurt, Lyon, Marseille, Nice, Malta, Lisbon, London, Athens, Thessaloniki, Prague, Barcelona, Madrid, Sofia.

The activities proposed to the students will be:

  • organization of company visits consistent with the work experience envisaged by the training project developed by the school;
  • planning and organization of visits to international institutions;
  • job shadowing activities at foreign organizations to supplement the internship in the company;
  • visits to the most prestigious universities in the country where the mobility path abroad is carried out;
  • preparation of an external tutor, which together with the internal tutor, will allow students to face the different professional and working realities they will encounter.

Since 2017, Assocamerestero and the Italian chamber network abroad have been promoting orientation and school-work alternation initiatives for secondary school students, offering mobility paths abroad that help develop transversal skills. In the last 2 years, almost two thousand Italian students have participated who have had a study and work experience abroad.

«These initiatives were also the subject of a specific hearing by the Foreign Affairs Commission of the Senate of the Republic which underlined the importance of the system of Italian Chambers of Commerce abroad in creating a virtuous circuit between Italy and other countries, promoting the international mobility of the "citizens of tomorrow"» explained Gian Domenico Auricchio, president of Assocamerestero.
