Assocamerestero: meeting of general secretaries in Milan

The 3th Meeting of the general secretaries of Assocamerestero, organized by the same association in collaboration with the Chamber of Commerce of Milan Monza Brianza Lodi, Promos Italia and with Aice (Italian Association of Foreign Trade of Confcommercio), is underway until 20 July in Milan.

On the occasion of the event, the organization led by Gian Domenico Auricchio takes stock of the previous year. In 2018, 70 Italian companies made use of the Chamber of Commerce system, taking advantage of services such as business scouting and foreign market orientation for short and medium-term positioning actions (equal to 41% of the services provided). Business networking activities (19%) and the organization of foreign buyer missions in Italy (16%) are also in demand.

At the sectoral level, the agri-food sector is once again the sector that is most focused in the promotion activities of the CCIE (37%) focusing above all (60%) on all-round promotional activities for Made in Italy.

"Since 2016, the CCIE have been the protagonists of the "True Italian Taste" project financed by the Ministry of Economic Development, as part of the "The Extraordinary Italian Taste" campaign, aimed at promoting awareness of authentic and certified Italian agri-food products , in contrast to the Italian Sounding phenomenon. Currently the project is developed in the USA, Canada, Mexico, Belgium, France, Germany, Luxembourg, Holland, United Kingdom, Spain, Switzerland, China, Hong Kong, South Korea, Japan, Singapore, Thailand and Vietnam; and by the end of the year it will reach Australia, Brazil, India, Poland and Russia”, reads the note from Assocamerestero.

Furthermore, in the last 4 years Assocamerestero has participated in about 70 European projects, also establishing the activity of job orientation and international student mobility, above all as a facilitator of transnational partnerships and aggregators of interests. These projects have involved over 600 Italian companies in many sectors.

“The Meeting of the General Secretaries turns 20 – says Gian Domenico Auricchio, President of Assocamerestero – and we are pleased to celebrate this anniversary by recalling the significant commitment of our 78 General Secretaries and their collaborators always on the field to assist companies. A network of nearly 2000 people and skills firmly rooted in foreign territories.”
