Insurance companies, AXA Italia aims at the future with 100 Bocconi students

The #AXAChallenge with Bocconi dedicated to students is underway, called to propose concrete and innovative ideas to rethink insurance and become customers' partners - An internship in the insurance group and the possibility of having your project financed are up for grabs

100 university students have been selected to redesign the insurance of the future thanks to the #AXAChallenge with Bocconi. Thus the partnership between AXA Italia and Bocconi University is renewed with a totally new project that aims to catalyze the innovative and disruptive spirit of students, allowing them to be an active part in the transformation process that the insurance sector is going through.

Bocconi University is a long-term strategic partner of AXA Italia: various projects have been financed since 2011, including an AXA chair in risk theory, for a value of more than 2 million euro[1].

“We are experiencing an exciting and highly transforming moment for the insurance sector: new customer needs and technology are revolutionizing our profession,” said Patrick Cohen, CEO of the AXA Italia Group. “Simplicity, accessibility, customization and transparency are some of the ingredients that make the difference for our customers. This is why we place innovation at the heart of our corporate culture and for this reason we have decided to leverage the talent of a generation who will be able to help us reinvent insurance".

About 100 students of the Bocconi University Master of Science in Economics & Management of Innovation and Technology will be divided into various groups and, experimenting with an entrepreneurial work experience, they will create a business plan on topics such as smart mobility, smart home, smart health, small business & marketplaces, communications with our stakeholders/customers.

Along their development path they will be supported by the teams of AXA Italia and Bocconi University, who will then form a jury which on 1 December will evaluate the proposals presented and in February 2018 will award the best ones.

Selected students will have the opportunity to carry out an internship at AXA Italia and have their project financed during 2018. Furthermore, all contest participants will be able to experience spending a day in the company next year.
