Insurance, Alleanza enters the Home segment

The Generali group company insists on the Protection market and launches a new product that also protects property inside the home (including pets) and integrates technology to prevent catastrophic events

Insurance, Alleanza enters the Home segment

Alleanza Assicurazioni, a Generali group company, increasingly insists on the protection market, in which it more than tripled its collection from 2015 to 2020, going from 82 to 209 million euros. The new frontier of this business for the company led by Davide Passero is the house: as is known, Italians are the vast majority of owners of the properties in which they live (73% of families), but less than a quarter of them, the 22%, have taken out an insurance policy on their home, whether for fire, multi-risk or the so-called "global buildings", i.e. to protect the entire building, on behalf of all the owners through the condominium administration. Alleanza therefore intends to enter this "void" and launches the new “Simple House” solution, a protection plan for the home, for those who live there and also for what it contains.

Indeed, the new policy it is complete and customizable and offers protection even in the event of catastrophic events: thanks to the integration of technology (including that of Generali Jeniot, which via intelligent sensors warns promptly in the event of anomalies), Alleanza is able to protect against the frequent risks that may arise in people, pets and objects inside homes, today more and more places to work, rest and play, due to the health emergency which forces millions of families to spend much more time than necessary inside their homes or apartment. It is a requirement, that of being insured, that few contemplate in time, even if SWG research later revealed that after having suffered damage, 60% of families decide to take out coverage.

"Casa Simple" offers 4 solutions in detail: Home Protection (protection against damage to the home, including catastrophic protection); Property Protection (protection for damage to objects in the house); Protection of Family Animals (24 hour veterinary consultancy assistance); Family Protection & Digital Life (cybersecurity). Furthermore the Green House option provides a discount reserved for those who have chosen to live in or redevelop their home making it energy efficient.
