Pd Assembly, Renzi challenges Grillo: funding immediately, but you sign the electoral law

Matteo Renzi's premiere as secretary of the Democratic Party is announced in the National Assembly in Milan today. The newly elected representative of the Democratic Party is in fact giving Beppe Grillo a surprise, taking up the challenge of the 5 Star leader: faced with Renzi's proposal to cut 1 billion in the cost of politics, Grillo had invited him to immediately give up electoral reimbursements .

The request to the new democratic secretary was to do like the 5Stelle parliamentarians who refused to collect the 45 million (9 million for the next 5 years) due to them. For the Democratic Party, the renunciation should be equal to over 48 million. Here, Renzi is seriously tempted to accept Grillo's challenge-provocation, but challenging him on the reforms of politics and its costs. The list is known. It provides for a majority electoral law where we know who wins and whoever wins has the numbers to govern for 5 years.

The transformation of the Senate into a chamber of autonomy with the presidents of the Region and the mayors who sit there without compensation. Exceeding the current provinces (Minister Delrio's law) into second-level institutions of municipalities (again without compensation) and metropolitan cities. The abolition of "useless" entities (renzi's own definition) such as the Cnel. “Let's put them together and our signatures at the same time” is the relaunch that Renzi is studying also in the light of the government's decision to translate the end of public funding to parties with a decree.

In the meantime, the opinion of the head of Forza Italia Silvio Berlusconi also emerged, who knows for his part he hopes for a return to the Mattarellum: “Now an agreement must be found for a new electoral law: we think that this agreement can only be found with the repeal of this law in one fell swoop by returning to the previous law, namely the Mattarellum. To do this we hope it will take a few months”.
