Indeed, the 2023 Budget law made some changes to the amounts of the single universal allowance: INPS decided to adjust disbursements based on the inflation index (provided by the text of the law, Legislative Decree 230/2021) and from February thecheck will be boosted.

Single allowance: 8,1% adjustment

But be careful: from next March XNUMX it will not be necessary to present a new application paid by those who had already presented it during the period January 2022 - February 2023. If the latter has been accepted and is valid, INPS itself will proceed with the official disbursement for the new year. The renewal is automatic but it remains mandatory to present a new Dsu to renew the Isee, the indicator that summarizes household income and assets. In fact, this entitles you to receive the full amount, which increases as the ISEE decreases. The deadline to renew the ISEE expires on February 28th. Anyone who bypasses this date will be able to do so by 30 June, recovering the overdue increases from March to that day. After 30 June, arrears are lost.

Who can benefit from the increases

A benefit from the changes made to the amounts, however, will not be all families. The new amounts will be due only to certain categories of families:

  • for households with at least 4 children there is a 50% increase in the flat-rate increase which rises to 150 euros per month per household
  • 50% increase in the allowance for large families, with three or more dependent children, limited to children aged between one and three years for which the amount due for each child increases by 50% for ISEE levels up to 40.000 euros
  • for families with children under the age of 1, there is a 50% increase in the allowance, to be applied to the amounts due according to the reference ISEE brackets

The increase for the universal single check is estretched out also to families in which one of the parents is missing for a year after the death.
The maneuver also intervenes in favor of families with disabled children, arranging the payment of the increases that had been recognized during 2022.
