Family unit allowance: INPS communicates income levels and amounts valid for 2015-2016

INPS provides large low-income families with an allowance for the family nucleus. Every year, Istat sets the income limits for entitlement to the family unit allowance and the related amounts. With circular number 109, INPS released the new tables valid for 2015-2016.

The family unit allowance, paid monthly by INPS, is intended for families with minor children and limited incomes. Every year, through a circular, the INPS sets the income limits for the allowance for the family nucleus and its amount.

Who is eligible for family allowance?:

  • households made up of Italian citizens and residents of the European Union, as well as family members who are not citizens of a member state who are holders of the right of residence or the right of permanent residence;
  • households composed of at least one parent and three minor children (belonging to the same registered family), who are children of the applicant himself or of his spouse or received by them in pre-adoptive foster care.
  • households with income and assets not exceeding those envisaged by the ISEE economic situation indicator valid for the grant.

Income limits and amount for 2015-2016

With the circular number 109 INPS has set the new income levels and the corresponding monthly amounts of the service. The new amounts are valid from 1 July 2015 to 30 June 2016. The same income levels will be valid for the determination of the daily, weekly, fortnightly and fortnightly amounts of the benefit.
