According to the EU commission, the transition of Autostrade per l'Italia from Atlantia to Cdp and Fondi "would not raise competition problems"

Aspi: ok EU to the acquisition by CDP and funds

Official green light from the European Commission toacquisition of Autostrade per l'Italia (Aspi) by the consortium formed by Cdp Equity, Macquarie and Blackstone. 

According to Brussels, which reviewed the transaction through a simplified review procedure, the acquisition "it would not raise competition problems, due to the limited impact it would have on the market”. By virtue of this analysis, there would be no obstacle to the operation.

On 12 November, Atlantia itself announced that "with regard to the signing of the agreement for the sale of the entire stake held in Autostrade per l'Italia between Atlantia and the consortium made up of Cdp Equity, Blackstone and Macquarie, today to the buyer the Antitrust authorization of the European Commission to the transaction without the imposition of conditions or remedies". The closing of the transaction, unless extended, is expected by the end of March 2022.

At Piazza Affari the Atlantia title gains 1,24% to 17,595 euros.
