Asdi, how to apply for the unemployment allowance

The INPS clarifies deadlines and methods for applying for the new unemployment allowance - Here are the requirements to be met, the effective date, duration and maximum amount of the Asdi.

Asdi, how to apply for the unemployment allowance

INPS explains how to apply for Asdi, the unemployment allowance introduced on an experimental basis by the Jobs Act. The instructions are contained in the circular no. 47 of 3 March 2016 of the pension fund.

HOW TO SUBMIT THE APPLICATION

The application for Asdi must be submitted electronically within 30 days following the expiry of the Naspi. However, for workers who have completed the maximum period of Naspi between 2015 May 3 and the date of publication of the INPS circular - Thursday 2016 March 30 -, the 3-day term starts from XNUMX March.

Asdi's online application can be submitted through the following channels made available by INPS:

– website www.inps.it (but the Inps device PIN is required);

– Inps-Inail Multichannel Contact Center, by calling the free number 803 164 from a landline or 06 164 164 from a mobile phone (for a fee according to the tariff plan of your telephone operator);

– patronage (which, by law, offers free assistance).

REQUIREMENTS

The allowance is reserved for unemployed people who meet the following requirements:

a) having used the Naspi until its expiry (however, the Asdi can be granted for a maximum of 6 months in the 12 months preceding the end of the last Naspi period, and for a maximum of 24 months in the five-year period preceding the same term);

b) still be unemployed (condition self-certified by the applicant at the time of application and verified by the job centre);

c) be part of a family nucleus in which at least one minor is present (not necessarily the applicant's child) or be aged 55 or over and have not met the requirements for old-age or early retirement;

d) have an ISEE equal to or less than 5 thousand euros;

e) not having used the Asdi for more than 6 months in the 12 months preceding the end of the period of use of the Naspi and for more than 24 months in the five-year period preceding the same term;

f) have signed a personalized project, or service agreement, for taking charge at the employment centres.

THE AMOUNT OF THE ASDI

The Asdi is equal to 75% of the last Naspi received and cannot be higher than the amount of the social allowance (equal in 2015 to 448,52 euros). The amount can be increased based on the presence of one or more dependent minor children, if the other parent does not use the allowances for the family unit (Anf). While you receive the Asdi you are not entitled to the Anf and you are not covered by a notional contribution during the period.

SINCE THE CHECK IS RECEIVED

The Asdi is due from the day following the expiry of the Naspi and is paid directly by the INPS. Payments begin after the social security institution has received confirmation from the Employment Center that the personalized project (or service agreement) has been signed.

DURATION OF THE ASDI

INPS pays Asdi for a maximum of 6 months, but the period is reduced in two cases:

– if the beneficiary has already used the Asdi in the 12 months preceding the expiry of the Naspi, those months are subtracted from the standard six;

– the period of use of the Asdi cannot be greater than the difference between 24 and the months already used in the five years preceding the expiry of the Naspi.
