AS Roma, green light from the Antitrust for the sale

Green light from the Antitrust at the sale of As Roma. The ok came this afternoon. This is an important step for the Capitoline football club in view of the transfer of ownership from the Italpetroli group to Neep Holding, 60% controlled by the Americans led by Thomas DiBenedetto and 40% by Unicredit. The operation also provides for the sale of Asr Real Estate, the company that manages the Trigoria real estate complex, to Brand Management.

The Authority announced in a note that it had "analyzed the markets in which the acquired companies operate, i.e. the set of activities related to the management of a football team: from the sale of tickets and season tickets, to sponsorships, rights TV, the buying and selling of players, merchandising”. Since "neither the Unicredit group nor DiBenedetto are present in the same markets, the operation does not have restrictive effects on competition". The Antitrust verdict arrives two weeks ahead of schedule.
